Two die in overnight fire at house in Cabra

Two people have died in an overnight fire at a house in the Cabra area of Dublin.

The blaze broke out on Ellesmere Avenue at around 10pm.

Two people were taken from the house and at least one of them was taken to the Mater Hospital.

However, both died from their injuries.

The Gardaí have launched an investigation and the scene has been sealed off pending technical examination later today.
