Taoiseach to depart on annual St Patrick's Day trip to US

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is due to depart today on his annual St Patrick's Day trip the United States.

Mr Ahern will initially visit New York for a series of events before travelling to Washington on Friday for a meeting with President George W Bush.
