Procter and Gamble has confirmed plans to lay off 280 workers at its plant in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, over the next few years.

Procter and Gamble has confirmed plans to lay off 280 workers at its plant in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, over the next few years.

There had been fears for the whole 500 jobs at the plant after the US multinational called a meeting this morning to discuss the future of the facility.
