Irish man, once questioned for murder, falls to death

A Co Tipperary man, who was questioned about a murder in Clonmel last year, has fallen to his death in Germany.

David Ryan, who was never charged in connection with Eoin Cahill's murder, fell from a third floor hotel room.

According to police in Germany, Mr Ryan from Elm Park in Clonmel was considerably intoxicated when he fell from the hotel window in Wiesbaden.

Two other Irish men who were in the room at the time were questioned by police but later released.

A police investigation is continuing into the incident which happened shortly before 8am yesterday morning Irish time.

The 25-year-old father-of-two had been questioned in connection with the shooting dead of Eoin Cahill at a house in Kilganey on the outskirts of Clonmel in April of last year.

He was never charged in connection with the incident.

Another Clonmel man, Lee Crowe, has already been charged with Eoin Cahill's murder.
