The Health Service Executive has placed visiting restrictions at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown to contain the spread of the Winter Vomiting Bug.

The Health Service Executive has placed visiting restrictions at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown to contain the spread of the Winter Vomiting Bug.

In a bid to minimise the spread of the virus, the HSE is urging the public not to visit patients in the hospital or attend A&E unless it is absolutely necessary.

Hand hygiene is the most effective method in preventing the spread of the virus and visitors have been requested to wash their hands before and after visiting patients.
