Northern Ireland Office: No amnesty for IRA fugitives

No amnesty is being planned for fugitive IRA men, the British government pledged tonight.

Reassurances that the policy surrounding on the runs (OTRs) remained unchanged were issued amid warnings that any such controversial move would threaten the chances of politically stable devolution in the North.
