41-year-old man sentenced to eight years for rape

A west Dublin man who raped his then partner's daughter has been given an eight year sentence by Mr Justice Paul Carney at the Central Criminal Court.

The 41-year-old man who cannot be named to protect the then five to nine-year old victim's identity pleaded guilty to raping and sexually abusing her on dates from 1997 to 2001 in a County Kildare town.
