Gardaí launch investigation into Finglas shooting

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a shooting incident in Finglas last night.

It is understood that two shots were fired through the front sitting-room window of a house in Casement Close at around 7.30pm.

Nobody was in the room at the time and nobody was injured in the incident.

The culprit is believed to have escaped on foot.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and investigations are ongoing.
