Snow and sleet expected to affect the country

Snow and sleet are expected to affect most parts of the country over the next 24 hours as temperatures plunge below freezing.

A few centimetres of snow have already fallen in areas along the east coast, but more is expected in the south later today, moving upwards through the country overnight.
