Greens: Tánaiste has lost plot on environment

Tánaiste Michael McDowell has lost the plot by claiming the economy is much more important than the environment, the Greens said today.

The Progressive Democrats leader was reacting to a devastating opinion poll result last week when he warned that neglect of the Celtic Tiger could plunge the country into a 1980s-style recession.
