Agency launches plan to eradicate homelessness

The Government's Homeless Agency has launched a plan aimed at eradicating homelessness in Dublin by 2010.

The plan focuses mainly on preventing people from becoming homeless in the first place, but also includes initiatives to get people off the streets and into proper housing.

The agency says it has already made significant progress in reducing the number of homeless people in Dublin since its first plan of action was launched six years ago.
