Builders urged to be extra careful when using diggers

The Health and Safety Authority is urging builders and labourers to be extra careful when using diggers, especially ones with quick-hitch devices.

The call follows the death of a 41-year-old quarry worker yesterday morning after he was struck by an excavator bucket while moving a machine in Co Kerry.
