Gardaí in West Dublin have issued an appeal for witnesses to the latest gangland-style shooting in the city.

A 28-year-old father-of-one was shot dead outside his home on St Mark's Crescent in Clondalkin last night.

It's believed the lone gunman - who is described as between 5' 10" and 6' in height and who was wearing dark clothing - fled the scene on foot.

The assasin is believed to have fired four shots before making his escape.

According to locals, the victim was the father of a two-year-old boy.

Anyone who was in the area between 9 and 10pm last night is being asked to contact Gardaí at Ronanstown on 01 666 7700.
