Taoiseach disappointed with failure of consultant talks

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, has expressed disappointment that no progress has been made in negotiations between consultants and the HSE on new contracts for hospital doctors.

Minister for Health Mary Harney is now threatening to press ahead with hiring extra consultants on new contracts as a result of the ongoing stalemate.
