Minister for Agriculture Mary Coughlan has rejected opposition calls for the introduction of a UK-style system of food labelling in Ireland.

Fine Gael and the Labour Party have proposed that a "traffic-light" system be introduced to clearly show the levels of salt, fat and sugar in all food products.
