A jury has been sworn in at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for the trial of a Kildare truck-driver charged with dangerous driving causing death.

Michael Dunne (aged 43) of Sprabstown, Ballytore, Co Kildare, has pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of Mr John Hughes on Grand Canal Place near Dublin city centre on December 30, 2004.
