Search continues for remains of missing fishermen
The search for seven fishermen missing following the sinking of their trawlers earlier this month is continuing on the south-east coast today.
Over the weekend, hundreds of volunteers braved driving winds, sleet and rain to conduct a search of the shoreline in an effort to locate the remains of the men missing from the Pere Charles and the Honeydew II.
The search will focus on the shoreline again today due to adverse weather conditions, but a number of vessels are expected to leave port to continue the sea-based operation.
The organisers hope winds will ease in the coming days and divers will be able to search the wrecks of the two sunken trawlers.
