Oil sheen not thought to be connected to missing trawlers
The search for seven fishermen missing off the south-east coast will resume at about 8.30am tomorrow morning after winding down due to high winds today.
More than 300 volunteers turned out for the shoreline search yesterday and today, in one of the biggest such rescue operations here.
Irish Coastguard spokesperson Declan Geoghan said that an oil sheen sighted on the surface earlier today may have come from a trawler fishing in the area.
He ruling out a link to the sunken trawlers Honeydew 2 and Pere Charles.
