Wexford blackout ends as ESB restore power

The ESB has announced that it has restored power to thousands of homes in Wexford town that had been without electricity since early this morning.

More than 10,000 people are believed to have been affected by the blackout, which was due to the failure of an electricity transformer in the centre of the town shortly after 8am.
