Staff member injured in armed raid on Dublin filling station
A man is recovering in hospital today after being injured when a shot was fired during an attempted armed raid on a north Dublin filling station this morning.
The staff member suffered facial injuries when a shotgun was discharged during the robbery at the premises on the North Road in Finglas at around 2.30am.
Three men attempted to rob the filling station before fleeing the scene on foot.
The wounded employee was taken to the Mater Hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
