Man shot in chest during drive-by attack in west Dublin

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a drive-by shooting in the Clondalkin area of the city last night.

A man was walking in Deansrath Park at around 8.30pm when he was targeted from a passing vehicle by an attacker wielding a shotgun.

Reports this morning say the victim, who is from the area, was hit in the chest.

However, he was able to make his way home and his injuries are not life-threatening.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.
