Husband set to formally identify body of missing pilgrim

The husband of missing Dublin woman Winnie Brady is expected to formally identify her remains in Medjugorje today.

The 59-year-old disappeared while on pilgrimage in the Bosnian town last September.

A body was found in recent days around three kilometres from the hotel where she was staying and local officials have told her husband they are almost certain it is that of the missing woman.

Her husband, Stephen, is expected to conduct a formal identification later today before arranging for the remains to be brought back to Ireland.
