Body found where Irish woman disappeared in Medjugorje
A body believed to be that of Irish woman Winnie Brady has been found in the Bosnian town of Medjugorje.
Mrs Brady, from Raheny in Dublin, went missing while on pilgrimage in the town last September.
Despite extensive searches by more than 200 volunteers, no trace of her was ever found.
Officials in the town now say they are 99% certain that remains discovered by a passerby yesterday are those of the 59-year-old.
Rings and clothes found on the body are understood to match those belonging to Mrs Brady.
A member of staff from the Irish Embassy in Lublyana is currently on the way to Medjugorje.
Mrs Brady's husband Stephen was notified yesterday and is due to arrive in the area tonight.
