Gardaí name house-party stabbing victim

Gardaí in Tralee have named the man who died after being stabbed at a house party last night.

He was 34 year-old Michael Lonergan, from the Balloonagh estate in the town.

He was rushed to hospital after the stabbing at around 7pm yesterday, but died at about 10.30pm.

Gardaí arrested a man shortly after the incident and are holding him at Tralee Garda Station.
