Eames delays controversial sale of east Belfast shops
The Church of Ireland Primate, Archbishop Robin Eames, has put the sale of a row of east Belfast shops he partly owns on hold.
Yesterday, around 60 people, including shopkeepers, protested over the sale of the premises, saying they would not be able to afford new leases.
A spokesperson for the Archbishop said today that the property was being taken off the open market to allow further consideration of its future.
