Labour seeks more safety inspections at rented properties

The Labour party is calling for rented accommodation to be inspected on a regular basis following this morning's fire in Dublin city centre.

Around 30 residents of an apartment block on Mountjoy Square were evacuated and a number of people were treated for smoke inhalation following the blaze just after 8am.
