Man quizzed over double fire murders
A man was being questioned today about the double murder of a couple set on fire at their home in the North.
The suspect, aged 24, was arrested in Newry, Co Down, by police investigating the horrific deaths of Thomas O'Hare, aged 33, and his 21-year-old girlfriend, Lisa McClatchey.
They were beaten with hammers and doused in petrol by a gang of vigilantes on November 6.
Both victims died in hospital following the brutal assault at their house in Foley Road, Tassagh, Co Armagh.
Six masked intruders are believed to have broken in and carried out the arson attack.
An hour after they were set on fire, four men appeared at a hospital across the border in Co Louth with critical burns.
They were later transferred for specialist treatment in Dublin, where gardaà have been monitoring them.
Investigating detectives have already questioned and released several suspects.
Another man, from Co Tyrone, has appeared in court charged with perverting the course of justice and withholding information in relation to the murder inquiry.
