Man arrested in Waterford in connection with Meg Walsh death

Gardaí in Waterford have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the death of Margaret 'Meg' Walsh.

He is being held at Waterford garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, which allows gardaí hold suspects for an initial period of six hours.

Meg Walsh's body was found in the River Suir in Waterford City on October 15.

The 35-year-old mother of one had been missing for two weeks.
