Motorist killed in crash

A motorist in his 70s died yesterday in a two-car collision in Co Meath.

A female driver of the second vehicle was also injured in the smash which occurred on the Kells-Cavan Road at 3.15pm.

The female driver was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, a Garda spokesman said.
