Dead man in Galway identified

The man who died in Galway in the early hours of this morning has been named locally.

He was John Malone and had been living in the area for some time.

He was found near the Walter Maken Flats in Mervue just before 6am this morning.

The 42-year-old was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

A man and a woman are still being questioned in connection with his death.
