The jury in the trial of an African man charged with raping two teenage Zambian girls has been sent to a hotel over night after failing to reach verdicts on the outstanding charges.

Mr Justice Barry White had earlier directed the jury at the Central Criminal Court to find the accused not guilty on one count of anal rape of the younger of the two girls.
