Boyfriend of slain Cork woman goes on trial

The murder trial of Sheola Keaney's ex-boyfriend opened at the Central Criminal Court in Cork today where the 21-year-old man denies murdering his ex-girlfriend in Cobh last July.

Thomas Kennedy (aged 21), of 84 Russell Heights, Cobh, Co Cork, denies murdering Ms Keaney, (aged 19), on a date between July 14 and July 16 at Cobh.
