The army bomb disposal unit are examining a suspicious device which was thrown into a house in the South Hill area of Limerick.

No-one injured in grenade attack on Limerick house

The army bomb disposal unit are examining a suspicious device which was thrown into a house in the South Hill area of Limerick.

It is believed a grenade was hurled through the window of a home in O'Malley Park just before midday.

However, it did not explode and no-one was injured in the attack.

The scene has been sealed off, and a number of neighbouring houses have been evacuated.
