80% believe gay couples deserved legal recognition - Survey

Eight out of 10 Irish people believe that same sex couples should be given some form of legal recognition, according to the latest Landsdowne Market Research Poll.

However, the survey, commissioned by the Gay and Lesbian Network , also found that only 51% percent of people support the concept of gay marriage.
