Port tunnel to open next month

Ireland’s biggest ever engineering feat, the Dublin Port Tunnel, will open to traffic on December 20, it was confirmed today.

Over two years behind schedule and at a cost of €752m, the 4.5-kilometre tolled underpass will take lorries, trucks and other traffic straight from the docklands to motorways in the north of the city.
