Survey finds Irish motorists guilty of tailgating

One in five Irish motorists are guilty of tailgating – driving dangerously close to the vehicle in front.

A survey conducted by Uniroyal Tyres found that despite the fact that tailgating is now a penalty point offence, many drivers are still not leaving enough space to the car in front.
