Man arrested in connection with murder of Ballymena woman
Police in the North have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old woman whose body was found in a car park in Ballymena earlier this year.
The 49-year-old is being questioned about the death of Shirley Finlay, whose half-naked body was found in the Antrim town in September.
The young woman, who had a history of mental-health problems, had been strangled before being wrapped in a duvet and abandoned.
The PSNI has confirmed that the man arrested today was detained after appearing in court in Ballymena on unrelated charges.
