Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for information after two separate shootings in the city early this morning.

Two houses have been damaged, but nobody was hurt.

The shootings are believed to be linked.

At around 6am a number of shots were fired into a house on Canon Lillis Avenue, Seville Place in the north of Dublin city.

The house was damaged, as was a car parked outside in the driveway.

A short time later, not far away, a number of shots were fired into a house on Kings Avenue in Ballybough.

That house was also damaged, as was a jeep parked outside it.

Nobody was hurt in either incident, and no arrests have been made.

Gardaí at Store Street garda station are appealing for witnesses.
