Ahern pledges to build 'fairer and stronger' Ireland

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern tonight vowed to build a stronger and fairer country as his Fianna Fáil party heads into its biggest-ever General Election.

He used his televised 30-minute address at his 70th Ard Fheis to announce that he was delivering on remaining commitments.
