Nearly 300 children detained in adult psychiatric hospitals

Hundreds of children and teenagers were reportedly detained in adult psychiatric hospitals last year because of a lack of suitable facilities.

Reports this morning say children as young as nine have been held in adult facilities, despite warnings that the practice is having an adverse effect.
