Nurses at Cavan General Hospital are due to mount industrial action today as part of a dispute over a shortage of clerical staff.

The Irish Nurses Organisation says the Health Service Executive has failed to implement a Labour Court recommendation from last year which called for the hiring of eight such staff to ensure nurses can dedicate their time solely to nursing duties.
