Govt urged to take more serious approach to terror threat

The Government is being urged to take a more serious approach to the threat of international terrorist cells using Ireland as a launching pad for attacks on other countries.

The call follows reports that up to six Islamic terrorists cells, including one with links to al-Qaida, were active in this country in 2003.
