Labour calls for stamp duty reform

The Labour Party has added its voice to growing calls for changes to the stamp-duty regime on house purchases.

The Progressive Democrats have already called for major changes in the way the tax is imposed, while Fine Gael is proposing to abolish it entirely for first-time buyers.
