A date has been fixed for the Oireachtas committee investigation into alleged misconduct by judge Brian Curtin.

The inquiry will begin on November 6 and is expected to last two weeks.

The all-party committee was formed in 2004 after Judge Curtin was acquitted on a charge of possessing child pornography after it was established that a warrant used to search the judge's home was out of date.

Committee Chairman Denis O'Donovan has lined up a number of expert witnesses to give evidence over the course of the inquiry.
