Gardaí in Waterford are reportedly closing in on the killer of Magaret 'Meg' Walsh and could make an arrest before the weekend.

Gardaí in Waterford are reportedly closing in on the killer of Magaret 'Meg' Walsh and could make an arrest before the weekend.

The 35-year-old's body was pulled from the River Suir on Sunday, two weeks after she disappeared from her home in Ballinakill Downs.

A post mortem has confirmed that she died of injuries to her upper body believed to have been inflicted with an implement.

Gardaí are due to give a press conference later this morning to brief the media about the latest developments in the case.
