Rioters attack police

Police in the North came under attack from rioters last night after they went to investigate an alleged assault.

The disturbances happened in the Diamond area of Rathcoole near Belfast at around 11.15pm.

A mob of over 20 people confronted the officers and four men and one woman were arrested for riotous behaviour, assaulting police and causing criminal damage to police property.
