Gardaí investigate break-in at PD politician’s offices

Gardaí in Galway are investigating a break-in at the constituency office of Progressive Democrats TD Noel Grealish.

The premises, which is attached to Mr Grealish's business in Briarhill Business Park, was ransacked overnight.

The PD politician, who discovered the break-in when he arrived at the office this morning, says he believes it was politically motivated and is worried that sensitive files may have been stolen.

Mr Grealish said laptop computers were taken during the robbery, but other expensive equipment, including digital cameras, was left behind.
