Martin says Aer Lingus takeover will have to be examined

Enterprise Minister Micheál Martin has said there are a number of issues that need to be examined in relation to Ryanair's bid to take over Aer Lingus.

Ryanair announced today that it had already acquired 16% of shares in Aer Lingus and was seeking to buy the remainder for €2.80 each.
