Aer Lingus declines to comment on Ryanair takeover bid

Aer Lingus has declined to comment on this morning's announcement by Ryanair that it is planning a takeover bid for the national airline.

Ryanair said this morning that it had already acquired 16% of shares in Aer Lingus and was offering €2.80 per share for the remainder.
