Taoiseach facing questions about purchase of Dublin home

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is facing questions today about a new controversy surrounding the purchase of his current home.

It emerged last night that Mr Ahern may have bought the house from one of the businessmen who attended the Manchester function where he received an £8,000 (€11,900) "gift" in 1994.
